Alex Provasnik is a potter and multimedia artist drawn to physical and tactile mediums, primarily clay and fibers. Alex’s process is heavily research based and often involves repetition. In May of 2025, she graduated from Bates College with a double major in Studio Art and Chemistry. She also studied briefly at the Glasgow School of Art in Scotland during a semester abroad.

Alex’s knowledge of chemistry and experience as a studio technician have heightened her interest in glaze chemistry and atmospheric firing, and she hopes to continue combining these two interests outside of school. She is currently based in the DC area, working from her home studio.
